At this site you will see how I built the U.S.S. Surya from the Polar Lights U.S.S. Enterprise model kit.

What I did is called "Kit-Bashing". Basically, it's when you start with one model kit and change it so drastically, that you end up with something completely different.
For example, with this kit, I started with a Constitution class ship and ended with a Coventry class ship. That's "Kit Bashing".
